Program Overview


Before we get into what the new program options are for Philia, we thought we would explain why you are seeing these additions.  This new programming will allow each one of you as athletes to become more well-rounded in not only the sport of CrossFit but in every aspect of health.  As the definition of CrossFit states: “CrossFit begins with a belief in fitness. The aim of CrossFit is to forge a broad, general and inclusive fitness. We have sought to build a program that will best prepare trainees for any physical contingency — not only for the unknown, but for the unknowable. After looking at all sport and physical tasks collectively, we asked what physical skills and adaptations would most universally lend themselves to performance advantage. Capacity culled from the intersection of all sports demands would quite logically lend itself well to all sport. In sum, our specialty is not specializing.” 

With that being said, each one of you will be given the opportunity to select the 8 week program of your choice.  All of the programs will be led by a qualified coach in their specialty and all will include CrossFit wods!  The point behind these additions is so we can make sure that all of our athletes are spending time perfecting all the pillars of CrossFit.  While reading the information on each program please take note that there is limited space for each program so each coach can spend adequate time with the athletes. If the new programming is something that you do not want to commit to, that’s ok we will still have our normal CrossFit memberships to choose from monthly.    

You will have until the 7th  of each month to make your decision if you choose any of the new programming options.  Please email your choice to Denise @ shakedown77@hotmail.com so she will have a chance to make that payment adjustment by June 8th.
